About us
The FEMB – European Office Furniture Federation is the umbrella organisation representing the interests of the office and contract furniture industry in Europe. We are committed to promoting the industry by supporting exchange between representatives and national member associations from various European countries.
We see ourselves as a European industry platform and offer a space for dialogue, knowledge transfer and innovation. At the same time, we represent the interests of our members and address relevant political issues in order to actively improve the framework conditions for their activities in Europe.

Transparency in sustainable action
FEMB sustainability requirements for office and contract furniture for indoor use:
In order to more clearly demonstrate the sustainability efforts of the European office and contract furniture industry, the FEMB sustainability standard with level certification was developed in 2010, primarily for the European market.
The aim was to bring more transparency to the multitude of requirements in the field of ecological and social sustainability and to create a high-quality, neutral sustainability certification system for Europe, which has been accredited according to ISO 17065 since 2017.
The level certificate is based on the FEMB sustainability standard and is the first European certification for office and contract furniture that comprehensively covers all relevant aspects of sustainability and the circular economy.
